Snow occurs extremely rarely; with 2,554 hours of sunshine a year, Dubrovnik ranks among the sunniest towns of southern Europe. In July it has 12.4 hours of sunshine a day, like Alexandria in Egypt.

Things To See And Do:
1. Visit the city sights: The most recognizable feature which defines the History of Dubrovnik and gives it its characteristic are its intact city walls which run uninterrupted for 1940 meters encircling the city. Five fortresses, St. Lawrence and Revelin together with another three incorporated in the city walls, Minčeta Tower, Fort Bokar and St. John's Fortress give to its visitors unforgettable view of the city. The State Archives in the Sponza Palace, which contains the documents from 12th century on onwards attracts those who would like to know more about the political and economical relation between Dubrovnik Republic and other European countries in the past. The franciscan monastery with the museum that contains the Old Pharmacy's inventory dating back to 1317 is also a curiosity to its visitors.
2. Tours and excursions are regulary organized and offered. Half-day and all-day tours include classical tours, such as City tour, the Elaphiti Islands and the Islands of Korčula and Mljet (National park).
3. Dubrovnik always offers some sort of enetertainment programs. New Year's Eve, Dubrovnik Summer Festival, and Masquerades...are all spectacular events that will be etched in your mind forever.
