Podstrana is a town 8 km southeast of Split with a population of 5,240. It includes four coastal settlements: Strozanac, Grljevac, Sveti Martin and Mutogras that stretch 6 km and features beautiful sand & pebble beaches with abundant Mediterranean vegetation along with pine & tamaris trees.

Podstrana offers sporting grounds, tennis courts, and water sport activites. Local Dalmatian specialties can be consumed at the numerous local restaurants found along the coast. Public bus lines offer frequent transport daily to town of Omis and city of Split. This makes it possible for the guests to visit museums, exhibitions, and the Split Summer Festival.

The oldest settlement, Gornji (Upper) Podstrana, is located 380 m above sea level beneath the cliffs of Perun Mountain just above the main seaside road. This also makes Podstrana a great destination for mountain hikers and climbers.
